The Good:
We got married
We continued to make our house our home with new decorations and furniture
Our puppy is now a dog
Wonderful trips to Italy and Copenhagen with my wife and mother, respectively
I began playing tennis and soccer recreationally
My partner and I started a new management company (Alternate Side) that had a more successful 2019 than our previous company had in its entire history combined
Hiring employees for the first time for the aforementioned management company and being able to provide for them
Became part of a neighborhood community with Hello Donuts + Coffee
The Bad:
The same boom that made for an incredible year at Alternate Side also resulted in a poor work/life balance that I had worked hard to overcome in previous years
A similar travel workload in 2019 like in 2018
Continued strain of leaving New York and finding ways to adjust to Philadelphia
2020:
Honeymoon to Mexico City and Tulum
Attempts to add yoga to my tennis and soccer recreational activities
Continued growth for Hello Donuts + Coffee
Furthering the growth of artists and employees across all areas of my work
End of the Year:
2019 was a year of reorganization for my professional life that included a new management company, a new record label, and a new services/consulting company. It was busy. And we did all that before opening the physical location for the donut +coffee shop and getting married! I remain happy with the site’s 2018 reorganization and continued to update the sections below:
Activity Log: Featuring my favorite dining and drinking experiences of the year, every flight I took, plus new TV shows, movies, and podcasts I consumed.
Music:
Shows: I went to 84 shows in 2019, up from 69 in 2018. I’d love that number to be closer to 65 in 2020, for the sake of my health!
Theorems: One addition that came from wedding planning.
Works: The four categories (Miscellaneous, Media, Labels, and Management) have all been updated with turned out to be a year filled with many new businesses and projects.
Enjoy Philadelphia: A new addition! I made a food and drink guide for folks new or unfamiliar with Philadelphia for our wedding website that I’ve decided to maintain here in the present and future.
