The Copenhagen Guide

Copenhagen is my favorite place I have ever travelled to. I’ve had the privilege of visiting four times now, and will briefly be visiting for a fifth time this Spring. It is a genuine pleasure when friends of mine visit for the first time and find some of the same magic I do. I have a few different friends visiting in the coming months and decided to make a little blog post with my personal recommendations for them. Just like my Enjoy Philadelphia guide, I will aim to keep this updated any time I have the opportunity to visit Copenhagen.

⭐️ = Must Go

Not Food

  • Donkey Bike: Rent one and unlock the city with it. You can basically bike between any two points in the majority of Copenhagen within 15 to 20 minutes. Bicycles are cared for above cars in the city and you’ll be safe. ⭐️

  • The Metro: It’s really good and easy, especially from the airport to your hotel or Airbnb.

  • Canal Swimming: Bike down to Nordhavn Bassin in the summer with some wine or beers. Jump in for magic. Sunbathe with the locals. Grab an easy taco lunch from Hijra de Sanchez, a coffee from Original, or snack from Atelier September

  • Buns: I lied, this is about food. Eat as many buns with butter and cheese as you can.
